Following the hand-in for the first Projected Image Competition, member Will Peat gave an excellent presentation on his way with Panoramic Photographs. Will explained in detail the established methods and guidelines on this genre in photography with an informative Power Point presentation.
He then showed a panoramic landscape of Lanark covering the full width of the town and taken from a distance on the west side. This photograph had consisted of 15 images which were then merged using editing software. If the photograph had to be printed in full scale it would have measured 7ft long.
Will described the camera and lens settings he had used to achieve sharp and well exposed photographs at the taking stage and he answered many questions from fellow members.

Next Tuesday we look forward to a presentation by member Stephen Burman on his visit to 'Antartica''
